CBD, also known as Cannabidiol, is a phytocannabinoid most commonly found in the Hemp (Cannabis Sativa) plant. The 2018 Farm Bill removed hemp and hemp seeds from the statutory definition of marijuana and the DEA schedule of Controlled Substances, legalizing the hemp industry. Some progressive states, like Colorado, have approved compliant food manufacturers to use CBD as an ingredient.
