Frequently Asked Questions
CBD, also known as Cannabidiol, is a phytocannabinoid most commonly found in the Hemp (Cannabis Sativa) plant. CBD does not cause intoxication or the euphoria (the “high”) that comes from tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Instead, THC (and not CBD) is the primary psychoactive component of the cannabis plant (Cannabis Sativa). The FDA has approved a CBD-based drug, Epidoilex, for treatment of seizures associated with two rare and severe forms of epilepsy, and more recently seizures associated with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC).
